Base price (excl. GST)₹0
GST amount₹0
CGST (50%)₹0
SGST / UTGST (50%)₹0
Final price (incl. GST)₹0

How GST math works

Adding GST: GST = base × rate ÷ 100, final = base + GST.

Removing GST (reverse GST): base = inclusive price ÷ (1 + rate/100). The GST component is the difference.

base = price ÷ (1 + rate/100)

For intra-state sales the GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. For inter-state sales the full amount is IGST.

FAQ

How do I remove 18% GST from a bill?

Divide the inclusive amount by 1.18. Example: ₹1,180 inclusive ÷ 1.18 = ₹1,000 base + ₹180 GST.

What are the current GST slabs?

The main slabs are 0.25%, 3%, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28% plus cess on luxury/sin goods. Slab assignments change with GST Council decisions — always confirm on gst.gov.in for a specific product.

CGST, SGST, IGST — what's the difference?

CGST + SGST apply within a state (split between Centre and State). IGST is the single tax on inter-state supplies, collected by the Centre.
